Mrs. Zirka Franko-Skowranek
Welcome to Team 702 Math! I am Mrs. Franko-Skowranek and this is my sixth year as a LGMS WILDCAT! I have been teaching for 29 years in Henry County. I have taught both in the elementary and middle school settings teaching grades 3 through 7 in all subject matters. I earned my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, and both my Master's and Specialist's degrees from Mercer University. I am also a Gifted certified teacher.
I am happily married and have a wonderful daughter, Lexi (21) who attends Georgia College and State University. My husband is a DFACS attorney for Henry county. I speak several foreign languages. We have a beagle (Marbles), a hedgehog (Pokeahantus) and several koi fish. I enjoy going to the beach, traveling over seas, reading and shopping. I collect Peanuts memorabilia. My favorite cookies are Oreos and I am addicted to Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts coffee. The students know that if they don't see me with a cup of coffee it's going to be a stressful day!
