Mr. Arthur Blevins

I graduated from Keith High School and attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL.  There, I received my bachelors and master degrees in Elementary Education and an Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.      

Currently, I am serving my fifth year as  principal of Austin Road Elementary.  This is my nineteenth year in education.  I taught for eight years, served as a curriculum specialist for two years, and assistant principals for four years.  All these experiences have been great and helped me grow as a professional.  I believe all children can learn and it is our job as educators to ensure that they do.  Children should be taught "how to think" and not what to think.
