• Luella Middle School utlizes a variety of progress monitoring tools to assess student growth before, during, and after interventions have been implemented.

The STAR Reading and Math program from Rennaissance Learning serves as our universal screener and provides teachers with data about areas of deficiency, growth, and development that are aligned with grade equivalencies.

In addition to STAR, teachers use diagnostic assessments aligned with their GPS standards to measure student learning within individual units of study. These teacher created assessments are analyzed using Edusoft, a data management system that allows for disaggregation of scores, the ability to align questions with standards and measure progress over time.
