    About Mrs. Pace

    Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to Locust Grove Middle School! I teach Reading for grades 6-8. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and expect them to put forth their best effort. I am also looking forward to working with you. Together we can help your child achieve goals that will help him/her throughout school and beyond!

I would like to share a little about myself. This year begins my 20th year of teaching in Henry County Schools and my 5th at LGMS. I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and my masters degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.  I have three children who are 27, 24, and 23.  My son graduated from UGA in 2015 and is now a student at John Marshall Law School, my oldest daughter graduated from Georgia Southern's Armstrong Campus in Savannah this year with two degrees: Health and Physical Education and Theater.  She is now pursuing a career in acting. My youngest daughter lives in Carrollton and is working and taking classes at the University of West Georgia. My husband and I have been married for 29 years.  We both enjoy SEC football (GO DAWGS!!!!), softball, Braves baseball, fitness and exercise, relaxing at the beach, just plain relaxing, reading, being with family and taking care of our three dogs, Chloe, Scout and Maggie, and one cat, DaWhite.

I'm excited about getting to know all of you and look forward to a wonderful and successful year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason.
