Mrs. Witham

Welcome Team 701. My name is  Susan Witham and although it  is  my first year as a Wildcat, it is  actually my 27th year of teaching!  I have taught both math and science at the high school and middle school level with a concentration in  Algebra and Geometry. I am so excited to be teaching 7th grade math this year. I think it will be a nice change of pace.  I graduated in 1988 with a Bachelors of Science degree  and a  double major in math and biology education from Troy State University. While at Troy State, I met my husband. We  have been married for over 30 years and have two grown sons. My oldest son graduated from Georgia Tech and the youngest  starts his second year of college at the University of Georgia in August. In my spare time , I like reading (mostly mystery novels), painting, playing Settlers of Catan with my sons, and orienteering. The last few months I have gotten addicted to playing Words with Friends on my phone and listening to True Crime/Dateline podcasts. My favorite all time television show is Jeopardy. I can remember watching it with both my grandparents, my parents, my brother and sisters, and now my two sons and husband. As you can probably tell , family is really important to me and a large part of my extended family live right here in Henry County. Well  thats enough about me for now. I am so looking forward to getting to know you throughout the year.
