Welcome to an exciting 2021-2022 school year! My name is Jessica Coleman (soon to be Mrs.Thomas😊). This year marks my eighth year in education and my second year at Ola Elementary! I have taught general and gifted students in grades 2nd-4th. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from Gordon State College. I earned a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. I also have a Gifted endorsement.

I enjoy teaching and cultivating a love of learning in my students! I am excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning with our Colts. My mission is to challenge and engage all students in authentic learning experiences through technology and effective instructional strategies. As your Colt's teacher, I want you to know that I will go above and beyond to ensure success in all students while promoting a positive learning environment full of encouragement and support. 

To begin our partnership in your Colt's education, I want you to know that I like to keep the line of parent/teacher communication open and regular through different forms of communication. ClassDojo will be used as my primary source of communication to keep you updated on your Colt's progress and classroom happenings. I will also send out monthly newsletters. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I will return all calls and emails within 24 hours.
