Principal Almand
  • GREETINGS ROCK SPRING COMMUNITY,

I am humbled, honored, and proud to introduce myself as the appointed Principal of Rock Spring Elementary School where a passion for learning is ignited each day. Rock Spring has a longstanding reputation for being a remarkable school. Encouraging community involvement and engagement are top priorities for me as I am committed to partnering with each of you, as we work together as a team to build strong positive relationships and achieve high standards of excellence for our students.

For the past eight years, I served as the assistant principal of Timber Ridge Elementary, Dutchtown Elementary, and Keheley Elementary.  Prior to becoming an administrator, I was an elementary school teacher. My love for teaching never waivers and neither does my admiration for today's committed teachers. Overall, I have taken a relentless stance on supporting our teachers as we work to create the ultimate classrooms for our learners. As a servant leader, my goal is to make certain our students and staff members have the resources, support, and learning environments they deserve.

My commitment to providing high quality instruction will be a continual priority. As an instructional leader, I  have spent years both researching and implementing practices that have rendered positive and substantial results. As a leader in both Henry County and Cobb County, I have had the opportunity to support various approaches and innovative initiatives which have afforded me a broader perspective of the many attainable possibilities for learning we can provide.

I consider each day as a leader an opportunity to serve not only our kids, teachers, and school community, but also our own future. I look forward to working with each of you as we embark on our journey to make the 2019-2020 school year exceptional. Please contact me with any questions you may have throughout the year, because I truly believe by working together we can make all of our dreams for our school community, teachers, and students possible.

    Sincerely,

    Bonnie Almand

    Principal
