Ms. Shaw

Hello and welcome to the 7th grade! My name is Ms. Shaw or Coach Shaw for those of you who are athletes. I will be your 7th grade math teacher for team 701. I am so excited to be returning to Stockbridge Middle School for my 2nd year, and I know we are going to have an amazing educational, not to mention unforgettable, school year.

I was born and raised in Central New York. Where I graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology, in 2011. I worked as a Case Manager for several years, but felt like I wasn't making a big enough difference in the lives of the children I served.

When I moved to Georgia in May of 2017,  I decided I wanted to switch careers. I started working as a substitute teacher and fell in love with teaching and helping students learn and grow. That's when I knew exactly what career was meant for me. I have been teaching for 2 years now, both years being at SMS. Although I am still fairly new to teaching, I'm confident that we are going to have a great school year together, learning and teaching each other fun, new, and exciting ways to do math.
