Hello Austin Road Family

I am Mrs. Jones and I am very delighted and elated to be working with you and your family this school year.  I am a compassionate and dedicated teacher that loves to have fun while teaching.  I have worked with kindergarten through fifth grade students in the classroom for over thirteen years as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and classroom teacher.  I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Work from Georgia State University and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.  I completed my Reading Endorsement from Metro RESA in Fulton County.  I am married with six wonderful children.  I love traveling around the world, reading books, watching movies and spending time with my family. 

My goals for this year:

Establish positive connections through communication with my students and parents. 

Engage students in research-based strategies to create lessons with real world connections. 

Empower students to achieve and exceed individualized learning targets by analyzing student data and integrating technology.

Elevate through Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (P.B.I.S) and Second Step Program to create a positive, risk-free, and safe learning environment for ALL.

Together we will have a PAWtastic Year SOARing into EXCELLENCE !
