Are you a ROCK star?
Welcome to a new school year! I am so excited to serve as the Assistant Principal of Rock Spring Elementary. My journey in education actually began as a young child. I can remember teaching small groups of children when I was just twelve years old. However, my formal experience includes 9 years as a para professional, 14 years as a classroom teacher (in Clayton and Henry County), and 6 years as a Math Instructional Lead Teacher for Henry County.
I have been recognized as a Teacher of the Year three times and was even presented with a Resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives for excellence in education. I truly love to learn as much as I love helping others to learn. Outside of the school environment I served as both a regional and state instructional presenter for Griffin/RESA and the Georgia Council of Teachers for Mathematics. I have endorsements in Reading, Math, and Culturally Proficient coaching.
When I'm not working in education, my husband, three adult daughters, and grandson keep me grounded in family fun. While I have had the honor of working in education for many years, I am most excited to support the Rock Spring Road Runner family.
I can't wait to support the children, parents, and teachers of this wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we start this new school year together.
Sincerely yours,
Beatrice Holmes
