Ms. AllenSchool Clinic Aide hours are 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.Medicine
When students need to take medicine at school, parents should bring medicine and related equipment to the front office. Please refer to the student handbook under the section Medicine for specific details.A Medication Authorization Form must be completed if your child needs to take medicine during the school day. We can only give Rx the parents provide. All medications prescribed and over-the-counter medications should be in their original container. Please do not bring loose pills in a baggie. We can not accept prescription containers that have been altered. Your pharmacist will provide a duplicate label for prescription medication free of charge. The student's name, the name of the prescribed medication, and the dosage should be affixed to the container.Prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines must be kept in the clinic aide's office.
Students who have asthma and severe allergies are allowed to carry asthma inhalers and Epipens on their person. A signed release form is required with signatures from the parent, student, and prescribing physician to indicate the minor student is capable of administering the medication correctly. The signed consent also releases Henry County Schools from liability in the event the inhaler or Epipen is not available. I suggest keeping a backup inhaler and Epipen in the clinic aide's office.
Please keep the school informed by updating the front office with new contact phone numbers.
Sincerely,Angela Allen
