I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential. To succeed in school, our children need support from the home and school. We will make a tremendous difference in your child’s education through a strong partnership with you. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know I will do my best to carry out the duties. Remember, you are their first teacher. You've taught them how to walk, talk, listen, pay attention, and respect authority. If you see them struggling in any area (reading, spelling, writing, holding a pencil, untidy work, or something), work with them until they are competent. Working together, we can have a very successful citizen. I ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience2) Completes all homework/project assignments given3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in schoolWe work hard each day to become lifelong learners. We can achieve this goal with the cooperation of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community.I hope to continue making every effort to help your child feel safe, comfortable, and happy. We will continue to communicate and work together for your child's success as a team. I am challenging your child and meeting his/her needs daily. Always remember that children learn to read K-2 and read to learn 3rd grade and beyond.
