• Greetings Woodland Family and Friends!

My name is Joshua Nelson and this will be my 21st year as an educator.  I have taught at the elementary, middle school, high school and college level, but I enjoy being a member of an elementary school the most!

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Massachusetts, a Master’s Degree in Teaching from City University in Seattle, an Educational Specialist Degree in Kindergarten-8th Grade Mathematics from the University of Georgia, and I am currently a PhD candidate at Georgia State in the Early Childhood and Education Department.

My main interests and professional goals are seeking out ways to make mathematics meaningful, hands-on and fun for early learners.

My wife and I have three children, two of whom have already graduated from Woodland High School! Go Wolfpack!

I really love discussing how students learn math, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have regarding mathematics.

    Yours Truly,

    Joshua Nelson
