Greetings! My name is Leia Nelson. I am very excited about working with first grade this year! This year will be awesome and we are going to learn so much together. 

I am a proud graduate of Brenau University located in Gainsville, Georgia. I worked closely with kindergarten and pre-k for a total of four years as a paraprofessional. I am a dedicated educator with a passion that runs deep. I believe in the power of building relationships with students as it builds a foundation for an amazing learning environment. 

Henry county is my home! I live in the beautiful Locust Grove, Georgia with my husband and animals. Also, I am currently expecting my first child. He will be here with us next year! Outside of school, I love to cook and go for long walks with my family. I am a homebody as well as an adventurer! I am open to going on new adventures, but I also love to stay with my family and watch movies or do household activities with them!
