Welcome to a fantastic 2024-2025 school year! I am excited to welcome you and your child to my classroom. This will be my third year teaching at Woodland Elementary. I could not be more excited! I have my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Albany State University. Obtaining a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and School Counseling. I studied abroad in Trinidad and Tobago in June 2019 at the University of West Indies.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with your child. I look forward to getting to know your child, meeting his/her unique needs, and challenging him/her to learn and excel. I see all of my students as individuals, and I believe every child can and will succeed if he or she is given opportunities to do so. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to facilitate a positive learning environment, full of encouragement and support, in which all students can thrive and learn. I hope to make this academic year an educational as well as a fun-filled year for your child.
I believe that parents play a key role in their children’s success. Therefore, I sincerely ask for your support and collaboration. I like to keep the lines of parent/teacher communication open and regular through different forms of communication. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can call me at school 770-506-6391, send me a message via Class Dojo, or e-mail me at briana.rutledge@henry.k12.ga.us.
I look forward to a successful school year with you and your child!
