Mrs. Joni Bowen

     Thank you for visiting my site.  I am thrilled to be serving as a member of the HHS Fine Arts team!  This year begins my 27th year of teaching, all in Henry County.  After spending 10 years in elementary art and 10 years in middle school art (the last 8 being at HMS), I am excited to be in the seventh year of my dream job: helping motivate and inspire high school art students to find their artistic passions and voices. 

    I graduated from Clayton State College and Georgia State University with degrees in Art Education.  In the years after college, I married my husband, Jesse (who I met in 9th grade art class).  We have two wonderful daughters, Rhiannon,20 and Gracie, 16.  I am also the mother to a dog and cat. My passions outside of art include nature, camping, kayaking, build-projects, travel, martial arts, Girl Scouts, family, faith and fun.  

     I look forward to working with your students each year!!!
