• REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FINE ARTS DIPLOMA SEAL FOR VISUAL ARTS:

     

    According to Henry County Schools, student must complete:

    1.  Fine Arts Pathway (minimum of 3 courses in one of the fine arts area subjects) with grades that show mastery. 

    2.  One CTAE Creative Industries Focus Course or a fourth Fine Arts Course.

    Creative Industries Focus courses are:

    • Intro to Drafting and Design 48-54100
    • Intro to Digital Technology 11.41500
    • Intro to Business and Technology 07.441440
    • Intro to Graphics and Design 48.56100
    • Audio, Video Technology and Film 10.51810
    • Marketing Principles 08.47400

    Other Eligible Courses:

    • Oral and Written Communication 23.04200
    • Economics 45.06100

     

    3. Must participate in 2 fine arts related extracurricular activities 

    4. Must share their talent and industry knowledge by providing at least 20 hours of arts-related community service and presenting a capstone presentation including a written reflections on their experiences.

     

    Capstone for Visual Art:  Consists of a presentation of a body of artwork in which a panel of judges will assess the work, skill mastery, and communication provided by the artist during the presentation.  This usually takes place in March of each year so that the results may be submitted to the state in time for graduation.
