Miss Speed

Greetings!! I am Miss. Speed and I will be your 4th grade teachers this year. I graduated from Ashford University with a Bachlor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I also graduated from Grand Canyon University with Master's in Special Education.I am thrilled to here for another year at Hampton Elementary School!! I'm very excited to be your teacher this year. I want to help cultivate your mind and turn you into a life longer learner!!  I want to help your accomplish your dreams and help you become better readers, writers, and mathemathcians.  My philosophy in education is that All students are an individual and everyone learners in their own way. I use multiple ways methods teaching (lingustic, visual, auditory, kinesthic) to reach students, so that no one is left behind.

My educational philiosphy in education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating envirnoment. All children learn in a unique way. I believe that there are five essential elements that are conductive to learning. 1. The teacher's role  is to act as a guide. 2. Students must have access to hands-on activities. 3. Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning. 4. Students need the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment.5. Technology must be incorporated into the school day.
