Hello Families and Welcome to the HES Parent and Family Engagement webpage. My name is Kim Lunn, and I am excited to continue in the position of Family (and Community) Engagement Liaison (Formerly PIP) for Hampton Elementary. Many of you know me from my time in the Front Office and now as the Student Data Specialist. However, what you may not know is that before coming to Hampton Elementary, I was the PIP at Locust Grove Elementary for 10+ years. I absolutely LOVE all things involving Title I Parent, Family and Community Engagement. I'm so excited to assist and encourage you with your child's learning experience.A little background info on me. I'm originally from Pennsylvania (GO STEELERS!), but have been in Henry County since 1993. I have my degree in Business Administration, but put that on the back burner when I became a Mom. I have three amazing boys who are my heart and soul. They all came through Henry County Schools and are the reason I'm working in education. My own adventure with Henry County Schools started in 1996 with volunteering as a Room Mom, then PTO President, and then officially joining the HCS team in 2003 as a Paraprofessional in Kindergarten and the rest is history! I'm coming up on 20 years and have loved every minute of my journey.Let's talk a little about the HES Family Resource Center. The FRC offers free educational resources for you to take home to support your child's learning at home. Our lending library includes books, games, manipulatives and more. We also have laptops available by appointment and parenting books to help guide you through the wonderful world of parenting. The FRC (Family Resource Center) is open by during school hours and after hours by appointment. You can view our available resources on our Virtual Parent & Family Resource Site.We encourage our families to visit the Hampton Elementary Website to stay informed and aware of all the great things going on at HES! While there, please click and visit our Family Engagement and Resource Page. You'll find all things related to Family Engagement and Title I @ HES on this page. Important Title I documents, such as our Family Engagement Plan and Parent, Student, School Compact as well as information about upcoming family events at HES or in the Community, as well as resources such as Food Banks, Camps, Tutoring, GED Resources, and more. Check back often as it changes frequently.
Please contact me if you have questions about our school, need help with educational resources for your child or other district or community resources or simply want to get involved..I'm here for YOU!
Best wishes for a fantatic year at Hampton Elementary!
