Greetings Dutchtown Parents, Students, and Community Members!

My name is Yolanda Oatts, and I am truly honored to serve as your 6^th grade Administrator. I am equally grateful to be part of a team of dedicated Administrators, Teachers, and Support Staff who work vigorously to ensure individual student success by providing an academically challenging and supportive learning environment. I firmly believe 21^st Century education demands us to cultivate life-long learners by empowering students to be active and engaged participants in their educational experience while striving for excellence.

Dutchtown is near and dear to my heart as I began my tenure in education at Dutchtown Middle School in 2009 as a Business and Computer Science Teacher. During the course of my tenure, I have served in numerous Leadership Roles: Operations Chair, Department Chair, Assistant Test Coordinator, and Personalized Learning Lead. I was also honored to have been previously named Teacher of the Year here at DMS.  I earned my Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix. I earned my Teacher Leadership Specialist  from Piedmont College. Moreover, I earned my Educational Leadership Specialist from West Georgia. Prior to entering the field of education, I worked as an Information Technology Specialist in both the public and private sectors as I possess a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia Southern University. I am also a proud wife and mother of three amazing children.
