I attended the Women's College at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Tau Eta Chapter, Spring 14). I graduated from Brenau in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. In 2019, I completed my Master of Arts in teaching degree at Mercer University. I earned my Education Specialist degree and gifted endorsement from Augusta University in December 2021.This is my 7th year teaching and my 7th year at Dutchtown Middle. I taught 7th grade social studies for 3 years and this is my fourth year teaching my favorite social studies course-- 8th grade Georgia Studies. I love to read, research, sew/quilt, listen to true crime podcasts, and watch television.Philosophy on Learning:I love learning and I love education. I believe that learning is the key to happiness and success.I also believe that everyone has the ability to grow and learn. Classroom Culture/Expectations:
8th grade is a time for learning yourselves and how you fit best into the world. My expectation is that you use your 8th grade year to the fullest. This means being enthusiastic about learning, trying your hardest, and keeping your education the priority.
*All students are expected to perform and exhibit maturity and responsibility.*
Students will be constantly reminded of our classroom expectations, please help in reminding students to always act with maturity and respect. Expectations are always high, for ALL students!!!
