The Hampton Middle School Visual Art program introduces the foundations of Art. In the course students will learn about the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. Students will create drawings, paintings, and sculptures. Students will also learn about Art Criticism and Art History. Each art course is a semester long and during that time students will grow an appreciation for art and self expression.

• Students will view and discuss artworks from varios cultures and artists 
• Learn visual art terms and artist movements 
• Produce art utilizing various media, 2-D art, 3-D art, techniques and styles 
• Explore ways to improve the community through art
• Have fun creating art

• Pencils
• 8.5/ 11 computer paper (if you do not computer paper or cannot get it in time for school you can use line paper)
• Erases
• Scissors
• Glue
• Color pencils
• Markers
• Construction paper (optional)
•  12 inch ruler
