Mrs. Sandy Braswell-HMS Athletic Director

                Welcome! Hornets,               

My name is Sandy Braswell and it is my pleasure to serve as your Athletic Director. This year will be my 26th year of teaching and coaching. I am originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, but now proudly call Georgia my home. I am married with two adult children, and a grandchild. I have been at HMS since our opening in 2009. I currently coach football and I am the head girls track coach.

Professionally, I teach Math 180 Connections. I graduated from Norfolk State University, and I earned my Masters from Troy University.

Our goal is to have an exemplary athletics program known for student-athletes that illustrates excellent sportsmanship while academically achieving and competing to the best of their abilities. Our athletic department is here to serve our student-athletes by building their confidence and maximizing their potential and developing skills of resilience, perseverance, confidence and commitment.
