Ms. Andrea Henry
I graduated from Lovejoy High School in 1998. I started at Clayton State in the fall of 1998. I started substituting in Clayton County from 2000 and took a permanent position in a special needs classroom as a paraprofessional in 2003. In 2007, I left to raise my son, Matthew (currently 16 and a 11th grader at Dutchtown High) and returned to school. I graduated from Ashford University in 2012 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I also earned a Masters of Education with a Specialization in Family and Community Service in 2014.
I started substituting in Clayton County in 2015. For the 2016-2017 school year, I took a position as a long-term sub in a Severe and Profound special needs classroom at Eagles Landing. What started as a job, became a calling. I started the process for my certification and enrolled in the TAPP program. The 2024-2025 school year marks my eighth year as a teacher.
