Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!!!

As one of the First grade teachers here at the brand new Birch Creek Elementary School, I welcome you all as we prepare and get ourselves ready for this upcoming 2024-25 school year.   I am honored to meet  and greet all of you during Open House and our first day of school.

I began my teaching career as a paraprofessional, so working closely with students and utilizing various strategies for their success was my main goal.  Now that I am a homeroom teacher, I look forward to applying all of the many strategies that I learned over the years to assist your child achieve every academic and personal goal.

During our Open House, scheduled for July 30, 2024, from 4-6 pm, I plan to present instructions on how we will communicate throughout the school year.  Class Dojo will be the preferred method of communication school wide. Please make sure that you check out the school supply list.

I will be sending home various assignments to assist them with their  letter sounds, and sight words.   It will be based upon their learning needs. Please check your child's  homework binder for any upcoming information and important dates as we begin the opening of school process, which will include many letters and signatures needed for the first week of school. 

   I can guarantee you that if we all work as a team, there is no stopping your child's success!

I am extremely excited about this  school year and all of the many great things that your child will accomplish and how far they will go in their academic career.
