Meet the Assistant Principal

Dear Birch Creek Students, Parents, and Community Members:

It is with great enthusiasm, humbleness, and excitement to be appointed as the Assistant Principal of Birch Creek Elementary Elementary!  As an inaugural member of the  Blue Jay family, I have witnessed the strength of the community and the commitment to academic excellence. I am honored and humbled to join the Blue Jay community. 

I come to you with over twenty years of experience as a classroom teacher and instructional coach serving in Dougherty County, DeKalb County and internationally in the United Arab Emirates.  These multiple opportunities have shaped me into the leader I am today.  As a resident of Henry County, I believe in the sense of community and heart that this county and school district conveys as it works to secure opportunities, access and outcomes for the families served.  

As an inaugural member of the Blue Jay, family, I am excited to dive into the work and serve alongside the administrators, staff, families, and community!  It is my Boldness, Commitment,  and Eagerness (BCE) that will shape the work in my role as we continue to build a strong culture within our community and operate at high levels to produce student success.  

I want to thank you, Birch Creek Elementary, with sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve as your Inaugural Assistant Principal.
