Jennifer Gray-Wymbs

Mrs. Wymbs, a native of California, is a three-time graduate of The Georgia State University. Mrs. Wymbs has over 30 years of experience in community mental health, correctional mental health, developmental disabilities, youth ministry, and nonprofit leadership. In addition to being a Licensed Master Social Worker, she is a Certified Financial Social Worker. She brings her unique knowledge and skills to the school system and the Student Services Team.
Mrs. Wymbs is thrilled to continue serving Excel Families by impacting the lives of students and families through education, prevention, and early intervention.
In her role as a School Social Worker, she provides direct services to students to support academic, social, emotional, and life adjustment to school and society.She does this by empowering students to build healthy self-esteem, develop healthy relationships, and reward positive behavior and achievements. She works with families and the communities in which they live to coordinate beneficial services for the student and family unit.
Additionally, she supports teachers and other school personnel by assessing students' mental health concerns and developing and delivering professional development training programs.
