My name is Bianca Abrams. I am thrilled and honored to be a counselor at E.X.C.E.L. academy. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds 16 years of human services/counseling experience.

I’ve established K-12 ASCA based comprehensive counseling program at every level to address the needs of all students. I attended the University of West Georgia and Clark Atlanta University where I received my Masters of Education in School Counseling and B.A in Psychology and Business Administration.

I have previously executed programs which led to higher graduation rates, an increase in school participation/attendance, promoted college/career readiness activities and designed a frame-work that teaches social emotional learning. A big driving force of my work has been centered on eliminating barriers for students and ensuring access for all students. I can truly say that I believe in empowering students! My educational philosophy is that everyone can L.E.A.D. at every level.  Lead with love, lead with education, lead with action and lead with discipline.

The mission of E.X.C.E.L. academy Counseling department is to provide a comprehensive developmental program for all students while addressing academic, career and social/personal needs. The counseling department plays a pivotal role in making sure students are empowered, responsible, resilient and successful. Students can receive both individual and small group support.  In addition, we have specific counseling goals and adhere to developmental competencies for all students. I am a resource and support for teachers in our school as well.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading (self-care books), journaling, jogging, spending quality time with my family/friends, cheering on the FALCONS, traveling, and being outdoors.

Lastly, I am thrilled to be an addition to the E.X.C.E.L academy.  I thank you in advance for allowing me to partner with you and your scholar. I am confident by working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives and hearts of students!
