About Mr. Peters!

     I am looking forward to another great year at Timber Ridge!  This will be my 28th year teaching and 15th as a Titan. 
     
              I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and completed my Master's degree in Special Education from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks).  At the University of South Carolina, I was awarded Student Teacher of the Year for the state!

     

     I was so proud to be named the Teacher of the Year for Timber Ridge Elementary last year.  

     

    My wife, Nicci, is an English teacher at Union Grove High School.  We will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in October!  I have two daughters, Josie and Margot.  Josie works in advertising at Home Depot, and Margot is a senior at Samford University.
     
             Our family has a pug named Otie and a silky named Rocket.   I see a lot of parents and students around town because I am very involved in the community with my family. You can find me at McDonough Presbyterian Church where I was a Deacon and, if I'm not running in my neighborhood, you can find me at Fitness 2020 taking classes because I enjoy exercising.  Our family loves to travel.  

             I love working at Timber Ridge Elementary.  TRE teachers and students are the best!
