Ms. Talisa Johnson
I am excited to be the Math Instructional Lead Teacher at Smith Barnes Elementary School! I am a native of Gary, Indiana, and moved to Indianapolis after graduating from Indiana University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. In 2000, I relocated to Stockbridge, Georgia, and have been teaching in Henry County since that time. I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2007 from Georgia State University, and I earned my Specialist Degree in K-8 Mathematics from the University of Georgia in the summer of 2017.
I love working with teachers and students children to support the learning that takes place at SBE. In my spare time, I like to exercise (jog and climb Stone Mountain), read, and spend time with family and friends. In addition, I love to play games, and my absolute favorites are Scrabble and Words with Friends! I am looking forward to a very productive and successful school year!
