Hello SBE Tigers!

Welcome to the 2024 – 2025 School Year! I am so excited to serve you.

My name is Andrea Griggs, and this is my third year at Smith Barnes Elementary School.  I will be working as a 5th grade accelerated teacher this year, and I look forward to working with each of you and getting to know you. 

I believe that every child is unique and capable of changing the world by just being him or herself.  There is nothing more professionally rewarding than being a small part of helping children develop into life-long learners who endeavor to be a productive part of our society.  

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.  

This school year is going to be AWESOME!  Together we will accomplish great things as we go for the GOLD!!!!
