Welcome to another school year! We are very excited about the start of a new year. I will be your case manager and classroom teacher this year. Karen Deeter will be the paraprofessional working in our class this year.   I am very excited to be at East Lake for another year.  During my career as a teacher, I have taught MOID, Special Needs Pre-K, and SID/PID. I have two children. Anna is married to a Navy doctor and they are currently stationed in Corpus Christi, TX. They have two children. Bennett is three and Katherine is 10 months old. Adam is married to Emma Kate. He is a high school science teacher at ELCA. His wife Emma Kate,  works at the Marcus Autism Center and is currently finishing up her masters degree and will then take her board exams to be a BCBA. 

 

My paraprofessional Karen is going into her tenth year working as a Special Education parapro. Her husband Steven, is a mechanic for Delta Airlines. Karen has four children. P.J. lives and works in Michigan. Tevin lives and works in Atlanta. Janessa graduated from UGA and is also living and working in Atlanta. Her son Philipp, is beginning his sophomore year at Mercer University in Macon. Karen's family has recently adopted the most adorable puppy, Baxter. 

 

We are both looking forward to working with your children this year. It is wonderful being a part of the East Lake Family!
