• I am beginning my 25th year at East Lake Elementary!!   This is my 3rd year as the STEM lab teacher!  

     

    I have been married 35 years to my wonderful husband, Andy, and we have 3 amazing children.  Kayla, my oldest, and her husband Tom live just outside of D.C.  She currently works for Pew Research Center, as the Lenfest Ocean Program Senior Associate, in Washington DC. Nolan, the middle child, is a captain in the United States Air Force.  He specializes in tactical operations and training.  He and his wife Hailey currently live in North Pole, Alaska.  Emily, my youngest, loves all things animals and is currently working on her degree in zoology!  She works at Emory Research Center with a variety of animals.
     
    What do I do when I am not teaching?  My absolute favorite way to spend my time is to go camping, hiking, and kayaking! I love being outdoors and enjoying all nature has to offer.  Present and past students will also tell you I love watching the bald eagles on the Decorah, Iowa cam provided by Raptor Resource Project!
