• My name is Trish McDonald.  I am entering my 23rd year teaching physical education.  I have lived in Henry County my whole life.  I grew up in McDonough and went all the way through the public school system.  I'm a proud graduate of Henry County High School.  After high school, I went on to Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA.  While there I had the opportunity to play collegiate tennis.  I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Heath and Physical Education K-12, and I graduated with Honors (Cum Laude).  I received my Master's degree in curriculum & instruction from Central Michigan University.  In 2013, I earned my Specialist Degree from Lincoln Memorial University.

While growing up in McDonough I was heavily involved in sports.  My big three were softball, tennis, and basketball.  My favorite sport to watch is college football.  I'm a huge University of Georgia fan.  My granddaddy used to take me to all UGA football games growing up. I also enjoy watching the Braves, Falcons, and Hawks.

I am an avid tennis player.  However, I teach/coach tennis more than I play nowadays.  I coach the girl's tennis team at Union Grove High School.  I organize the East Lake Tennis Club in the fall season.  If your 5th grade son/daughter is interested in learning the basics of tennis, this is a great opportunity to learn a life-long sport.  Also, I am a Certified Tennis Teaching Professional, so your child will be getting the best of both worlds (physical education & tennis).

I am looking forward to an awesome school year!  If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
