Velma “Rochelle” Thompson has taught elementary, middle, and high school for the last twenty plus years. She is a three-time graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned her BA, M. ED, and ED. S in Education. She genuinely enjoys learning and continues to believe in her motto: “If you are not learning, you are not living.” She enjoys providing teachers, students, and parents with best practices and resources, creating innovative teaching methodology, and improving literacy education in and outside of the classroom. She is excited about using these strategies to help support students with the necessary tools to be successful in and outside of the classroom setting. Mrs. Thompson enjoys reading, writing, collecting books, and spending time with her husband and two daughters. This is her first year in Henry County as the Graduation Coach of EXCEL Academy.
