WELCOME!

My name is V. Rochelle Thompson and I will serve as your Family Engagement Liaison (FEL) for the 2024-2025 School Year! My goal is to strengthen the partnership between home and school so that you can be fully engaged in your child’s learning. At EXCEL Academy, we want families to be active participants in the life of the school and feel welcomed, valued, and connected to each other, to school staff, and to what students are learning and doing in class. EXCEL Academy will provide a variety of activities and resources throughout the course of the year to support YOU and empower OUR students to be active participants in their learning acquisition.

 The Parent Resource Room is open and available to you! Please email me to set up an appointment in order to ensure proper social distancing measures are in place.  We have several items available for you to check out that will help assist your child.  Resources include books, educational magazines, games, and much more. Please feel free to reach out to me and let me know when you would like to stop by. My hours are Monday-Tuesday, 1:00-3:30, and on Thursday from 12:30-2:30.
