Welcome Parents and Students! 

My name is Ms. Halbig - I am one of two school social workers at EXCEL Academy. This is my 6th year at EXCEL, and in the the Henry County School District. I am excited to start another school year, even if it does look a little different! 

I graduated from the University of Colorado with my Master's Degree in Social Work in 2015. My Bachelor's Degree is from the University of Colorado - Boulder in Ethnic Studies. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work and volunteer in a variety of settings. These setting have helped me see the importance of community connection. As your school social worker, we serve as an important link between you and the community.
