Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl
The purpose of the Reading Bowl is to encourage the enjoyment of reading and the study of excellent children's literature. To be a member of the Reading Bowl team you must be in 4th or 5th grade and read the Georgia Children's book Award nominees Chapter books. Team members must test on the books, attend practices, participate in a mock competition after winter break, and attend the county-wide competition. Parents will be responsible for providing transportation to this Saturday competition in January.

Practices: All practices will be held after school from 2:30-3:30 in the Red Oak Media Center. Dates will be sent home, once the team is selected. If you are picking up your child from practice, please be prompt. If you are running more than five minutes late, please contact the school at 770-389-1464.Dates TBA
