I am honored to serve as the Instructional Effectiveness Facilitator at Red Oak Elementary! I have a passion for students, teachers, and education. I had the distinguished honor of serving as the 2019 Henry County Schools District Teacher of the Year. During my tenure as the district Teacher of the Year, I received several recognitions, accolades, and served on a host of committees.

Prior to joining the Monarch family, I taught middle school in Metro Atlanta and Houston, Texas. I have experience teaching grades 1st-8th. 

I received my undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University (AGGIE PRIDE!). Upon graduation, I began my teaching career where I joined Teach For America. I received my Masters from Mercer University and Ed.S. from Kennesaw State University. I have my certifications in Gifted, ESOL, and Tier One Leadership.

I am currently in my 14th year of education and I was Red Oak's 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year. I am the proud wife of an educator and the mommy to two sweet baby girls, Riley & Reese. 

I am elated to support and work alongside the teachers at Red Oak Elementary!
