My name is Valerie Withers and this is my 17h year at Ola High School. I have previously taught in Fayette and Henry Counties. I have a Master's Degree in Literacy and Learning through Walden University and I earned my Bachelor's of Education from The University of Georgia in 2003.
I have taught all levels of high school English-- and I've even tried my luck in middle school. I am currently the AP Literature & Composition teacher and teach British Literature.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, traveling the world with my students, reading novels, baking bread and spending time with my amazing family: my husband, Jason, my three girls, Emerson, Elliott and Everette, and my dog, John Hamish Watson.
I'm currently reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver and How the Word is Passed by Clint Smith.
