Hello everyone! My name is Shelly Dameron. I am originally from California, but I moved to Georgia over 35 years ago. I have lived in Hampton since 1992. I have been married for 26 years to Mr. Dameron. Together we have nine children and thirteen grandchildren (plus one dog). Family is very important to me and I spend as much time with them as I can.  Some of my family live in other states, so I fly on an airplane to see them.  My husband and I fly for free because he retired from Delta Air Lines. Since our children are grown, it is just my husband, the dog and I that live in our house.  My hubby and I also enjoy walking in local 5k fundraisers.  We even have several medals as evidence. 

My background working in education started back in 1998.  I worked in Clayton County as a paraprofessional for four years.  Then I operated a home daycare/preschool for eleven years. Next, I went back to school and I earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University. I started teaching at Rocky Creek in 2012.  I have taught in grades first, third, fourth, fifth, and have also been a title one tutor since joining RCE.
