My name is Sarah Waugh and I am excited about beginning this school year as the Assistant Principal of Rocky Creek Elementary.  I graduated from the University of West Georgia with my Bachelor's degree in Special Education. I also received my Master's degree from Georgia College in Special Education and my Specialist degree from Thomas University in Teacher Leadership. My teaching career began in 1999.  In 2010, I came to Rocky Creek Elementary as an Interrelated Teacher and in 2018, I transitioned into the role of Student Support Facilitator. While serving as an Interrelated Teacher at Rocky Creek, I worked with students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade in both the co-taught setting and the small group setting.

 

I look forward to working diligently with our faculty and staff to carry out the vision and mission of Rocky Creek Elementary. I believe that, as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. I am and will always be committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our children achieve their full potential and are prepared for the next phase of their educational careers. 

 

Outside of Rocky Creek, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and learning to crochet.  I look forward to an amazing school year!
