Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

       Welcome to UGE's Pritchett/Smith Team! I will be your English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies Teacher this school year. I am so excited to teach the fifth grade class of students this year. My role as a teacher is to encourage students to think critically and provide tools and strategies to become life long learners and productive citizens.  Every child has the ability to can impact our classroom and community. I am looking forward to partnering with you to help your child do just that!

       I was born in Pennsylvania and have lived in Georgia majority of my life. I love nature and often visit National and State Parks with my husband and 5 children (and their significant others). I have been married to Josh Smith for 21 years, and we have 3 girls and 2 boys. Their ages range from college graduates in thier mid to late twenties, one junior in high school, and one recent high school graduate. 

       Other interests and likes of mine are: working out (a very recent endeavor), visiting historical sites, going to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, reading, and spending time with family. I am currently on a strive to be healthier and love non-fat greek yogurt, trail mix with dried fruits and nuts, and fresh fruits. The one exception is COFFEE! I am still a big coffee drinker!
