Welcome Warhawk Family!

  • Welcome WarHawks Parents and Students!

I can truly call myself a science geek. I have had a love for science since I was in middle school. Through my own experiences, I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge in the field of Science. I obtained my Associate of Science degree in Biology from Darton College (Summa Cum Laude), my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Valdosta State University(cum laude), and a masters degree in Chemistry through the University of Cincinnati. In addition, I am certified for Henry County to teach Abled Learners/Gifted Students, Earth and Space Science, and Broad Field 6-12 Science.

I began my journey in education in 2007. Within two years of teaching, I was awarded the honor of Teacher of the Year. I relocated to the Henry County area in 2013; and began teaching at Henry County High School. During my years at McDonough High School, I have taught Physical Science, Earth Systems, and Biology. In 2019, I was awarded Star teacher.

I truly enjoy teaching science and engaging students everyday through the learning process of becoming scientists in their own individual way!

We must work together in order to make this experience a success! I truly look forward to a great semester.

    Regards,
