Subjects I Teach:  math and science

It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to the fourth grade at Mount Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know you this year and am adding a little bit about myself. I have been teaching since 2000 and  have taught second, third, and fourth grades. I have also been a Title I coordinator and Title I teacher. I am new to the Mount Carmel team and am looking forward to being your child's teacher this year. Growing up in a family of dynamic educators, education and a commitment to life-long learning has always played a priority. I have a specialist degree in Mathematics Education K-8 from the University of Georgia. My husband's career is also affiliated with education--he is the Chief of Data Center Operations for the Department of Defense Schools. I am blessed with two wonderful sons, Connor and Brandon.  In addition, we have two dogs and a cat to keep us entertained! I enjoy doing activities like hiking, kayaking, biking, and traveling. During my more restful times, I take pleasure in reading a great book!

There are so many opportunities to LEARN and GROW in fourth grade. We have an exciting year ahead of us with high expectations and a challenging curriculum in math and science.  Your child will need to be responsible and put forth effort to be successful.  As parents, you have a key role in teaching and encouraging behaviors that promote learning. A partnership with support and communication between home and school will benefit your child greatly.  With our combined efforts, we can make this a successful and rewarding school year!

Please feel free to contact me on Remind (from a Smartphone go to the following link: rmd.at/kfudge4 or by email at kimberly.fudge@henry.k12.ga.us.  I am dedicated to providing the best possible learning environment for your child.  I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
