STUDENT PROGRESS

The progress of students shall be evaluated frequently and plans shall be generated to remediate deficiencies as they are discovered. Plans shall include appropriate interventions designed to meet the needs of the students.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

Students will not engage in an act of academic dishonesty including, but not limited to, cheating, providing false information, falsifying school records, forging signatures, or using an unauthorized computer user ID or password...

HOMEWORK

Homework assignments should be meaningful and should be an application or adaptation of a classroom experience.  Homework is at all times an extension of the teaching/learning experience.  It should be considered the possession of the student and should be collected, evaluated and returned to the students.

MAKE-UP WORK

DUE TO ABSENCES

When a student is absent because of a legal reason as defined by Georgia law or when the absence is apparently beyond the control of the student, the student shall be given an opportunity to earn grade(s) for those days absent. Make-up work must be completed within the designated time allotted by Mr. Atchison.

Classroom Rules

1. All school rules will strictly be enforced, in this classroom.
2. Be in class and seated when the tardy bell sounds.
3. Bring all necessary materials to class every day.
4. Respect others and their property as well as yourself.
5. Absolutely no sleeping or individual conversations during class.
6. Do not disturb the classroom atmosphere. Raise your hand and be recognized before you speak.
7. Do not use profanity or dress inappropriately. Remember, you are in class to learn NOT to socialize. (Adhere to the Dress Code Policy)
8. Do not eat any type of food, drink any type of liquid, or chew gum in class.
9. Keep the area around you clean, including desks, floors, and tables.
10. Complete restroom breaks and personal grooming activities prior to coming to class.
11. Place book bags and other items in front of classroom or designated area to keep isles clear.
12. Make up any work missed due to an excused absence within 2 weeks on the student’s own time.
13. Respect the school’s 15/15 rule (Students remain in class the first and last 15 minutes of the class period).
14. Leave your classroom area neat and clean.
15. Use class hand signals and demonstrate mutually respectful, appropriate classroom behavior.
16. Remain seated when the bell rings and wait for teacher’s dismissal from classroom.
17. Discard food, drink and gum or enclose it in book/lunch bag prior to entering the classroom.
18. The bell does not dismiss you, Your Teacher does!!!
