Dr. Pam Nutt is the longest-serving member of the Henry County Board of Education. Her tenure spans 24 years on the board. She is a native of Henry County and graduated from Henry County High School in 1977. She holds a bachelor's degree and a doctorate from Mercer University, while also holding a master's degree from Georgia College and State University and a specialist degree from the University of West Georgia.
She is a veteran educator having served 27 years in the classroom both as a media specialist, science teacher, and special needs teacher. She ran for a seat on the board of education because she believed that a practicing teacher brings a different perspective to educate our children. She also believes that you never stop learning. She wants to instill in people that anyone can achieve the highest levels of growth as she did by attaining her doctoral degree. Nutt is proud of each and every employee that comes to work to educate children. Without dedicated employees, Henry County Schools would not exist. She's also proud of the students that persist in obtaining an education and live as a working member of society.
She is the proud mother of three children, all HCS graduates, and a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, too, with one more on the way.
