Hello Everyone!

My name is Kim Calhoun, and I'm a Third Grade teacher at Rock Spring Elementary.  I enjoy working with children and helping them achieve their dreams through their education.  I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect.  An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.  

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University in 1994 and a Master's degree in Instruction, Curriculum, and Assessment in 2006.  My husband and I have a beautiful family of three children and several 4-legged children.  In my free time, I enjoy the great outdoors, DIY projects, watching movies, cooking and trying new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to getting to know all of you this school year!
