    Statement of Purpose

    To instill positivity, the importance of giving back to others, and self-love with a focus on; career, nutrition, etiquette, first impressions (dress), peer pressure, self-image, and service.

    Code of Conduct

     

    Behavior (per 9 weeks)

    -no more than two (2) bus referrals

    -no out-of-school suspensions

    -no more than one (1) in-school suspension/office referral

     

    Expectations

    -EVERY THURSDAY - ‘Dress your best’ (no jeans or sneakers)

    • Jeans & sneakers are only allowed on BRIGHT Girl T-shirts on Thursdays.

    -Homework/classwork is completed daily

    -come to school prepared

    -respectful behavior towards teachers and peers

    -attend/participate in meetings and service projects

    -keep and maintain a student portfolio

    • Pay monthly dues of $3.00 per month or a one-time fee of $25.00.

     

    Consequences

    Please note that if your child receives one out-of-school suspension, they will be placed on probation for the semester. If the behavior continues, she could be dismissed from the program.

    September/October - Increase Awareness Initiative: Pink Hearts for Breast Cancer

    November - Community Service Project: Thanksgiving baskets

     December - Community Service Project: The Giving Tree/Can Food Drive

    January/February - Global Support

    March/April-College/Career Readiness

    May - Culminating Activity: End-of-Year Celebration
