    Greetings Everyone,

I have been an educator for over 14 years, and I am so excited to serve the students and staff of EXCEL Academy. I grew up on a rural farm near Mobile before graduating from The University of Alabama with a degree in Secondary Education and Social Science. I then migrated to the great state of Georgia where I received a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University and an Educational Leadership Certification from The University of West Georgia.

I have served in numerous cohorts and boards designed to improve the educational experiences of all students and ensure college and career readiness throughout the state of Georgia including: The Teaching with Primary Sources Cohort through the Museum systems of Atlanta as well as the National Archives, The Document Based Question Project, and as one of only two Georgia Representatives for the Bill of Institute’s National Teacher Board.

I love spending time with my family, traveling, experiencing new cultures, all things History, and University of Alabama athletics. Roll Tide!!!!

What do I do at EXCEL Academy?

I support teachers in exploring the best practices for motivating and growing the students that attend EXCEL Academy.

I work with new teachers to ensure that they have the tools and supports that they need to be successful with the students at Excel Academy.

I assist with coordination and execution of all assessments before supporting teachers in utilizing the data from those assessments to academically grow the students at Excel Academy.
